If you are in education, you know how much focus is placed on student learning. That’s kind of the point of the job, right? But what does learning actually mean? Are we talking about taking in new knowledge? Recalling previously taught knowledge? Applying knowledge to a hands-on activity? Even as a parent, sometimes I get confused between what is considered “learning” and what is considered “playing” for my boys.

One thing I do know though is that Educational 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 has worked its way into almost every classroom. Student learning is no longer introduced, encouraged, or assessed with chalkboards and textbooks. 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 in schools can be a powerful tool for students, and it’s getting better every year. If you are a teacher looking to capitalize on the 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 available to you, read on to find out 5 Ways to Use 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 in the Classroom for Student Learning!

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR)

It is crazy to think about how fast AR and VR have taken hold in classrooms. First, a quick tutorial for those who don’t understand the difference. (like me!) Teachers consider virtual reality to be immersing yourself into a completely virtual environment. Augmented reality is when you are adding something virtual into your existing reality.

An example of 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 in the classroom with virtual reality would be Google Expeditions. Students can be transported to areas of the world they could never have dreamed of visiting. Each “expedition” is a tour of something or somewhere of the teacher’s choosing. There are over 900 expeditions available, and more are being added every month!

Are your students learning about Fossils? Or possibly discussing the culture and history of Japan? There will surely be something in the Google Expeditions library that will allow you to excite students and deepen their learning. What better way to engage kiddos than by plopping them right in the middle of the habitat they are studying?

Augmented reality in education is still relatively new, but is growing fast! Companies like Merge EDU and CoSpaces Edu are bringing learning to life. The Merge platform allows students to interact with a handheld object, which turns into anything from an active volcano to a human heart with the help of an app. CoSpaces allows students to create their own AR objects, and place them anywhere in the room. AR is possible in Google Expeditions as well, though the devices needed to run it are a bit pricier when compared to the VR expeditions. When it comes to students showing off their learning, be ready to see much more AR/VR and much less multiple-choice answers!

Podcasts

podcast example

No matter what you are looking for, you will probably find a podcast on the subject. Whether you are using Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or some other listening tool, you can find resources from experts you could never dream of having in the classroom!

Do you teach chemistry? Have your students listen to an episode from Chemistry for Your Life and record their own video or verbal response. Better yet, use Flipgrid to prompt your students to give a quick, 90-second response to the episode they listened to. Nothing cements learning more than reflecting on it!

School-to-Home Communication

We have all heard over and over again that the students who are most successful in school are the ones who have support at home. For education professionals, student success means growth towards learning goals. The days of a written note home from the teacher are virtually gone and have been replaced by programs like Seesaw, Class Dojo, or even Social Media.

The main idea here is that parents want to feel connected. All of these platforms allow teachers to share successes with parents, in slightly different ways. As a teacher, you just need to decide which one feels the most like “you.” Seesaw was originally an online student journal where parents could connect to their students to see the evidence of learning taking place. It is still true to its origin but has now expanded to include individual 男女后进式猛烈xx00动态图片, standards, skills, and much more. Class Dojo was a way to “catch” students being good, and give them rewards for it. Parents were connected and could see immediately when their students received a compliment.

Aside from using 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 in the classroom, the school-to-home connection is also very important to student learning. Anything that makes that connection stronger or easier on either side should be considered!

3D Design

Another great 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 in the classroom would be 3D Design! 3D design is about so much more than printing something cool off of Thingiverse. (Though that’s tons of fun, too!) Once your students have mastered Tinkercad, they will be ready to design away! The gold standard for student learning is the concept of “I do, We do, You do.” On the “You do” step, teachers allow students to show what they know, usually to get an idea of what skills to circle back on, where the student is excelling, and how to move forward.

Designing in 3D is the ultimate way to see a student understands a concept. You can use a 3D pen to let your students mock up a design, then a 3D printer to build a final product. Students can design a skateboard ramp to demonstrate their knowledge of inertia and angles. They could also design a memorial for a local hero. The opportunities here are unlimited!

Google Tools

The number of options teachers have with G Suite for Edu is sure to keep students on their toes! One of the biggest pieces of this platform is Google Classroom. As with any tool, it’s all in how you use it, but Google Classroom is a way to get information, assignments, grades, and so much more to students. Increased student learning is a given when you have a way to so directly personalize, give feedback, and collaborate.

G Suite for Edu also allows students to use so many add-ons, apps, and extensions that enhance learning. PearDeck is a Google Slides add-on that gives students a chance to give a teacher real-time feedback during a presentation. EdPuzzle allows teachers to turn any web-hosted video (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) into an interactive experience. Students have to pause to answer questions, reflect, or give feedback according to what the teacher has set up. EdPuzzle also integrates with Google Classroom, making it easy for teachers to import students and export grades.

There is so much more to student learning than the tools teachers use. The single biggest indicator of student success is the teacher in the room, not the tech or the texts. Students can use 满18岁免费观看高清电视剧推荐 to deepen their understanding, to reflect on their learning, or to show what they know. But no single resource will replace the massive impact of a wonderful teacher. 🙂

How do you know students are learning? Which of these tools will you be trying in your classroom?
